Description

Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches offer a delightful blend of crispy, buttery bread and a creamy, sweet cheesecake filling with a vibrant strawberry jam center. These sandwiches are perfect as an indulgent breakfast, a comforting snack, or a unique dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices white sandwich bread
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened or melted
  • Optional: fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until the filling is smooth and fluffy.
  2. Lay out the bread slices. Spread the cheesecake filling on four slices and the strawberry jam on the other four. Press the slices together to form sandwiches.
  3. Lightly butter the outside of each sandwich.
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Fry the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and the filling is warm.
  5. Transfer the fried strawberry cheesecake sandwiches to a plate, let them rest for a minute, then dust with powdered sugar. Slice in half before serving warm.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for a smoother filling.
  • Choose sturdy, slightly thick bread for best results.
  • Cook slowly over medium-low heat for even browning.
  • Chill assembled sandwiches for 15 minutes before frying for neater results.
  • Experiment with different jam flavors like raspberry or blueberry.
  • Serve immediately for the best crispy and creamy texture.
